Swimming Pool Installation Options
Skimmer or Deck Level/Overflow?
This design features a deck-level pool with water flowing continuously over the pool's edge into a surrounding drainage channel. It is considered one of the best pool designs available, providing highly efficient water circulation. This design is commonly found in modern commercial and semi-commercial swimming pools and upscale private pools. The top can be finished with a cope or edge tile, and an infinity edge can be incorporated into the design.
The water level in this pool design is set about 6″ (100mm to 150mm) below the surrounding deck. The pool walls are fitted with skimmers to remove debris from the surface continuously.
This can be either constant depth, sloping or hopper type. Water depth/s can usually be according to personal preference.
Sprayed concrete, Shotcrete Gunite, GRP one-piece pools
Sprayed concrete, Gunite, or Shotcrete methods involve spraying the concrete mix into a reinforced steel cage. This flexible construction technique can be used to create pools in virtually any shape. Concrete block pools can be constructed using either a single block or a two-skin block method, with steel reinforcing bars between the skins and wet concrete poured to fill the cavity. We offer these in both deck-level and skimmer designs.
One Piece Pools of GRP and Ceramic materials ensure a very speedy and relatively simple pool installation. The pools shell comes pre-fitted with all necessary equipment. Once delivered it is simply lowered into position, plumbed and finished. Though available in many sizes and with many features, limitations are largely due to site access and size selection.
An infinity pool is also known as a zero-edge pool. The water appears to flow beyond the edge typically overlooking the ocean. These infinity pools are built with beautiful views or picturesque horizons beyond the 'missing edge' making it the epitome of luxury in your swimming pool design.
These are made of GRP and ceramic materials and offer a quick and relatively easy pool installation process. The pool shell comes pre-fitted with all the necessary equipment, and once delivered, it can be effortlessly lowered into position, plumbed, and finished.
